The FDA has linked Grain Free Dog Foods with a type of Heart Disease in dogs, DCM (Dilated Cardiomyopathy). Dr Jones has produced a list of foods that do not include, peas, lentils and other legumes which are not linked to Canine heart disease.

Is different company kibble fine to switch up ? My 9 month old old frenchie was eating Royal Canin. His breeder had him on that since he was first able to eat solids. He just started not eating it anymore. I bought him Nulo puppy and slowly started mixing it with the old kibble. I also got Instinct wet dog food. He sure loves that Instinct wet dog food. I want to to completely throw out that trash royal canin dog food.

I’ve come to believe any kibble is not good for dogs and carbs, like for humans, are not healthy.
You just said peas lentils and potatoes aren’t good for dogs. Everybody is saying lentils and peas are healthy for dogs now I don’t always feed my dogs potatoes but sweet potatoes I do. I took my dogs off store-bought dry food because my dog was showing food allergies about 6 months later her food allergies went away. However peas and lentils were in that diet and sometimes potatoes. No wonder are dogs are dying because the vets can’t get together on what and what not to feed your animals. I’m just going to do what I think is right. I followed you for a long time and now I’m confused
